Our very successful Summer concert, comprising  Sterndale Bennett's overture The Naiades, Percy Young's Piano Concerto, beautifuly played by Michael Jones, Bernard Jupp's National Folk Songs and Peter Tchaikovsky's Suite No 1, was held on Sunday 21 June, followed by a spirited celebration to mark the retirement as playing member of Bernard Jupp, who co-founded the orchestra over 50 years ago. 

We have now finished our summer break, and have started up again at our usual rehearsal venue, St Bartholomew's Church Hall, 159 Ellison Road, SW16 5DE, in readiness for our Winter concert. Rehearsals start at 7.45pm.

Our Winter concert will be on Sunday 6 December at St Philip's Church, Beech Road, Norbury, SW16 4NW, starting at our usual time of 6.30pm. The programme comprises Joachim Raff's Orchestral Prelude to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Jim Rattigan's jazz-influenced Horn Concerto (played by the composer), and Jean Sibelius's Symphony No 3. Tickets at the door and refreshments £15.00, under 18s free.
